The mudguard washer have a wide outside diameter in comparison to the inside diameter to provide large coverage area for distributing the load and preventing from pulling onto soft material.

Zinc plated to minimise corrosion.

They are generally used in applications where a large surface area needs to be secured, as well as being used to make a connection to a hole that has been enlarged by rust or wear.
